When your pet reaches 7 years of age they are considered a senior. Pets are living longer thanks to advances in veterinary care, diagnostics, and earlier intervention. But the key to enjoying our “senior” pets lies not only in extending their life span, but in helping them enjoy their later years to the fullest.

Thanks to technical advancements in modern veterinary medicine, surgery, diagnostics and nutrition, not only do pets live longer but their quality of life has increased dramatically as well.

In order to help your pet live a long, happy life, we offer a package called the “Senior Screen”. This cost effective package includes the following diagnostic tools:

  • Digital x-rays of the chest
  • Comprehensive blood work
  • Urinalysis
  • ECG

Thanks to our Senior Screen we can catch things like this abdominal mass before its to late (pictured to the right). Ultimately giving this pet a more comfortable, longer life.

Spay and Neutering

Spaying or neutering your pet is one of the ways to keep your pet healthy. It is also the responsible way to keep the pet population down and reduce the number of unwanted pets in shelters.

Appointments can be made in 2 ways; Give us a call at the clinic (805)541-8246 or go to the Make an Appointment section of our website homepage. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open.

Payments

Edna Valley Veterinary Clinic and Surgical Services accepts payment via cash, check and all major credit cards. To ensure we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered. Estimates can be given for your convenience.

Discounts

Edna Valley Veterinary Clinic and Surgical Services offers a free exam for pets adopted from San Luis Obispo Animal Services or Woods Humane Society. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rescue group discounts, please call us for more information.
